Just a category I see that's pretty prevalent yet not up for awards considerion, and it oughtta be...

    Here's a few possible nominees...

-Dinsdale: Seems to know his puck from a hole in the ground, pretty good on more than one sport. Pretty good for a young pup.

-MGo: Another in the new breed of younguns who are passionate and not entirely clueless.

-R.C. Collins: He's just an asshole, forget I mentioned him. forums

-Euro: Dude knows nearly as much about your sports as you do, and you know squat about his!

-Index: Yep, Everyone's Favorite Bitterman is pretty solid on sports. He has a good range of knowledge, depth and perspective. He can cover a lot more than just his one favored sport, the ability to do so being what seperates Index from many here. Also, he's reasonably eloquent when he talks sports, and not at all bitter!

-Smackie: See, he's a pretty old fucker. He remembers Koufax's rookie year. Hell, Smackie could tell you how Mantle's gangrenous knees smelled! Smackie remembers when Mikan ruled the paint and Secretariat was simply his favorite bitch's job description, misspelled. You'd think his advanced age would give him a decided advantage, but the excessive doobage ingested has zapped enough brain cells to level his advantage back down to square one.

Good idea, but with only two + days left for nominations, it may have to wait. You'd think, being an offshoot of Smack Chat where we were all Jim Rome & fliends, there'd be shitload of sports wonks trollin' around here.

Smackster, there are a boatload of sports wonks around here. We see it all day, every day, which is what made me think of this thread.

Too bad it's too late to include a sports category. We have 47 variations of "Worst Poster", and not a single sports related category.

For that matter, we also don't have a single music related category, even though the favorite standby fail safe thread of all time is "Name your favorite band-concert-sexual experience at a concert-cello solo-etc..."

I know...that's my bad. I'll prolly end up combining a few of those categories into one all-purpose worst poster, but a sports category shoulda been included.

You're forgiven, Smackie. I've always heard that despite their failing memories we should try to understand, honor and even cherish the old and infirm, while you're still around...

Ya know, Ronnie forgot to send Nancy his usual "Luv Ya!" letter to mark their 50th wedding anniversary too...

You must have been anticipating my Lakers/Bucks post-game reply to your thread. forums

If it counts for anything, in the real world of sports prognosticating, AKA "putting your money where your mouth is", I stand to make 1000 bones off of my self-designed bet that the Clippers would finish with a better record than the Wizards. Still cant believe any sports book was stoopid enough to take that one. God bless Jordan knee surgeries.

Rack Euro for helping me out of a jam when it came to soccer info. I needed to try to get a date with Sara the French chick.
